Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Dining Associate (PDA) is an integral member of the Food and Nutrition Services team. The PDA is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to facilitate the provision of food services and nutritional support to patients, families, visitors and employees across the facility.

What you will do in this role:

• 
  You will assist patients and family members with daily meal menu selections.
• You will deliver trays and snacks to patients and as well as collect soiled trays.
• You will check the patient’s diet order per meal according to diet manual and patient food preferences, allergies and food intolerances.
• You will notify the Dietitian of any irregularities.
• You will demonstrate the ability to obtain and send pertinent information to and from nursing units as well as have a basic knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• You will maintain required logs for HACCP and snack tally on a daily basis.

What qualifications you may need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• 1 year of food service experience is preferred
